Repair FAQs

Can my camera be repaired?
Depending on the make and model, most of the time the answer is yes! However, it is dependent upon if parts are needed and availability. If you would like to contact us prior to bringing in your equipment our knowledgeable staff is always available to answer any questions.

Will you provide me with an estimate before you begin the repair?
We do not move forward on any repair without customer approval. In order to provide you with an accurate and fair price we examine each unit case by case. Once you receive your estimate, you can accept or decline it. We will not be responsible for any items left over 90 days.

How much is the diagnostic fee?
For the time required to diagnose your equipment we charge a non-refundable diagnostic fee of $45 which is prepaid and applied toward the repair cost.

How long will the repair take?
All repair times are based on the extent of the repair, and subject to parts availability and production schedule at the time your equipment was dropped off. We will give you a time frame with your estimate. Please let us know up front if your equipment needs to be completed before a given date. We will always try our best to return your equipment to you in a timely manner.

Are repairs done in-house?
Ninty five percent of repairs are done in-house unless for any reason an item requires factory adjustments, is covered under warranty, or we have no ETA on parts, but the factory has the part/s in stock and at their disposal for repair.

Do you sell CCD/CMOS sensor cleaning kits?
No, we have seen the repercussions of customers who have attempted to clean their sensor themselves and caused damage, having to have a sensor replacement. We do however offer sensor cleaning service. $45 for next day service and $65 for same day. For same day we ask that you call in advance to schedule.
